What Happened -

The Pirates started the game firing on all cylinders, never missing a beat from their rout of Worcester just 24 hours earlier. In an all too familiar tale, the Pirates were led in scoring by star player Tom Garrick Jr. as he notched yet another Player of the Game award behind his 30 point, 7 rebound, and 7 assist performance. Other notable performances include guard Shane DaRosa and center Kevin Briggs who combined for 45 points of offense (23 and 22 respectively). Briggs made the most of his size as he puled down 11 rebounds and blocked five shots. DaRosa, on the other hand, showed his ability to make a play assisting on six makes on generating two steals. Newcomer Michael Rodrigues hauled in an impressive 13 rebounds in his second game for Providence. Rodrigues is showing flashes of the paint presence Pirates coaches hope he can be. Providence now stands at 7-2 and can surely expect to find themselves among the top of the Northeast Region in this week's rankings.
