December 4, 2023 (Providence, RI) - This weekend, the Providence Pirates were tasked with back to back games. First, at home versus the Mass Wolves then away versus the Maine Bulldogs. The Pirates knew it would be a tough weekend without some key players, but the team rallied together and made it happen. Beating the Mass Wolves 115-98 at home then with a quick turnaround, headed up to Maine to face the Bulldogs. The Pirates bested the Bulldogs 115-106 to complete the weekend sweep.

After defeating the Mass Wolves at home. The Pirates knew they were up for a hard fought game with the Maine Bulldogs in Lewiston, Maine. Missing key players Michael Mendes and Tom Garrick Jr meant other players had to step up to fill the void missing by Mendes and Garrick Jr. That's exactly what happened. Igor AlmeidaArmani Baker and Kevin Briggs all stepped up to help lead the Pirates to victory once again. Igor and Armani combined for 34 points while Kevin Briggs was your eventual Player of the Game with 17 points and 17 rebounds. After being up as many as 30, the Bulldogs started to claw their way back, cutting the leas all the way down to 9 points in the 4th quarter. Shane DaRosa and Armani Baker had clutch plays to slow down the Bulldogs and secure the win. The Pirates traveled to Maine and left with a weekend sweep.

The Pirates extended their winning streak to 4 games as well as advanced their season record against the Bulldogs to 2-0.

The Pirates are back in action on 12/9 in Manchester, NH to take on the NH Kingz. The next, and last Pirates home game before winter break will be on 12/16 against the Kingz. Be sure to get your tickets here!
