Pirates Take Down the NH Kingz 135-115!
January 22, 2024 (Providence, RI) - Happy Victory Monday Pirates Fans! The Pirates made their way up to Hampton, NH Sunday afternoon to take on the NH Kingz. The Pirates and Kingz have met two other times to this point with the Pirates coming out on top each time. Heading into the game, the Pirates were looking to extend their winning streak to 7 in a row.

After a long delay, the game tipped off. The Pirates started off slow and slowly turned it up as the game went on. Headed into the 2nd quarter with the Pirates trailing 30-26, the guys went on a run and didn't look back. The Pirates ended up extended their lead to over 30 points over the Kingz in a chippy environment.

The Pirates were led by forward, Armani Baker. Baker was named our player of the game after recording his second double-double of the season and tying forward Tom Garrick Jr in leading the scoring with 28 points.

Kevin Briggs and Michael Mendes were both unstoppable on the boards against the Kingz. Both Mendes and Briggs combined for 27 of the Pirates offensive and defensive boards. With today's performance, Kevin is now averaging a double-double on his season.

Off the bench, Josh Winbush was a spark plug for Coach Mark Gaffney. Winbush played a major role off the bench scoring 14 points and grabbing 8 rebounds in the victory.
After extending their winning streak to 7 in a row, the Pirates will head home and prepare for a matchup with the Bridgeport Kings on 1/28.​
