Pirates defeat the Mass Wolves; Move to 4-1.

December 3, 2023 (Providence, RI) - This weekend, the Providence Pirates were tasked with back to back games. First, at home versus the Mass Wolves then away versus the Maine Bulldogs. The Pirates knew it would be a tough weekend without some key players, but the team rallied together and made it happen. Beating the Mass Wolves 115-98 at home then with a quick turnaround, headed up to Maine to face the Bulldogs.
Going into their second game in a row versus the Mass Wolves, the Pirates knew what to expect. The Pirates showed up and balled all night at the Boys and Girls Club of Pawtucket. Providence was led by Shane DaRosa who was the eventual player of the game for the Pirates. DaRosa was on fire from mid range shooting 11/19 from the field. His final stat line was 30/7/5. DaRosa is now averaging 22.5ppg which is good for 2nd highest on the team, behind Tom Garrick Jr. Michael Mendes and Josh Winbush also played critical roles during the victory as both players shot well from the field and scored 35 total points.
The Pirates are back in action on 12/9 in Manchester, NH to take on the NH Kingz. The next, and last Pirates home game before winter break will be on 12/16 against the Kingz. Be sure to get your tickets here!
