December 18, 2023 (Providence, RI) - The #9 ranked Providence Pirates have been on a roll during the first half of the ABA season. The team is averaging 103 PPG over their first 9 games which has included their current 6 game winning streak.

The Pirates took on two divisional opponents (NH Kingz and Bennington Martens) this weekend looking to continue their winning ways in a big way.

The NH Kingz came into Pawtucket Saturday night and the Pirates didn't allow them to have much fun. The Kingz scored the first bucket and that would be the only time that they would have a lead. The Pirates went on to win by the score 130-92.

The Pirates, leading by as much as 40, were led by Shane DaRosa, who was the eventual player of the game. Shane shot light out from 3pt range shooting 8/11 from downtown. This is Shane's 3rd Player of the Game of the season for Providence.

Throughout the game, multiple players stepped up due to multiple players being inactive for the game. Avery DeBritoCharles Adebayo and Kevin Briggs all played significant roles to help pick up the slack.  DeBrito played stellar defense all night long while Adebayo and Briggs controlled the glass picking up 23 rebounds combined.
