The Providence Pirates will be hosting their first playoff game in franchise history on Saturday, March19th, 2022. The Pirates are 2-0 against the Herkimer Originals this year. The first matchup came on January 22, 2022 at the West Warwick Civic Center when the Pirates won in commanding fashion 97-79. Three weeks later, the Pirates traveled to Herkimer, New York for the rematch. Thanks to a game saving block by center Kevin Briggs the Pirates snuck away with a 109-108 win.

In the final power rankings, the Pirates placed #13 in the nation heading into the playoffs.
