The Pirates continued their inaugural journey last night, with a stop in Harlem, NY to face off against the #22 ranked team in the league, the Underdogs. While the Underdogs were coming off two strong wins in their last few games and were receiving two of their starters back for the matchup, the Pirates had plans of their own. Avery King made his season debut for the Pirates and was nothing short of clutch for the Pirates down the stretch. Finishing with 22 pts on 7 for 15 from beyond the arch, King led the way for the Pirates, with 2 steals in the final minutes, followed by a strong 4 pt. play as well.

The game was a back-and-forth battle from the second the tip was off, with defense the leading headline of the game. Throughout the game, the lead was a battle of only several points, with the Pirates and Underdogs trading lead changes throughout. Free throws and turnovers were in the negative for the Pirates, as sloppy play was prevalent for numerous portions of the game.

However, both halves were ended strong for the Pirates, which in turn led them to their first win in their Franchise history, beating the Underdogs 88-82.

Tyree Robinson once again had a strong all-around game while adding a double double, scoring 19 pts, while bringing down 12 rebounds, with 3 blocks and 2 steals. Sayvoun Houston also got his first start of the season and added his own strong double double for the Pirates, scoring 16 pts and 14 rebounds.
