The Pirates set sails and took to the high seas on their 2021 inaugural exhibition season, stopping in Manchester NH last night to face off against the Manchester Rockets in their first official game.

Starting Five - 2.27.21 - at NH Rockets.

The Pirates started out exceptionally strong on both ends of the floor, outscoring the Rockets 46 – 40 in the first half. Leading the way for the whole night, Tyree Robinson was a force on both ends of the court, finishing the game with 29 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Point Guard Cody Borges followed up with 12 pts, going 2 of 4 from 3 with two assists. The defense was strong tallying 12 steals and 9 blocks, stifling the Rockets for three quarters, and much of the fourth. The team was able to hold off the Rockets late runs in the fourth, until several three pointers late in the game were the dagger in the Pirates hopes for the night. The Pirates fell 98 – 97 in a hard fought and exciting game.

Up next for the Pirates is the Harlem Underdogs March 6th in New York. The Pirates will once again set sail and be livestreaming on Instagram Live and YouTube Live as well for the game, so stay tuned! Tyree Robinson was selected as the Player of the Game with his strong performance. Box Score
