What Happened -

Bennington had won two straight entering the game, one win being against the then-ranked number 19 Elmira Eagles. Providence, led by Tom Garrick Jr. and Shane DaRosa, took the lead immediately in the first and never looked back. Just one basket short of the franchise’s points in a game record, it was clear early on that the potent Pirates offense would not be stopped. The Pirates standout player was once again Tom Garrick Jr. who added on to his incredible season by recording 32 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Garrick went on a run to end the half, reigning down three pointers and capping it off with an emphatic dunk down the lane all over the Bennington defense. The other notable Pirate was guard Shane Darosa. DaRosa gave the Pirates 30 points and seven assists while showing his shooting ability from outside all game.

Turning Point -

This game lacked the back-and-forth of the Pirates first two games, as the Pirates home crowd saw their team lead by more than 80 points at times in the fourth quarter. The true turning point was Garrick's individual ten point run to close the half which showcased just how unstoppable the Pirates offense truly was.
